CARE PACKAGE IDEAS FOR SOLIDERS OVERSEAS
Treats: Soldiers love getting treats from back home, but remember that they need to be non-perishable. The key to sending treats
is to make sure they are portable so they can carry the snacks on them. This means looking for packaging that is smaller and won't
burst open easily.
• Snack bars or Energy Bars
• Gum or Candy (avoid chocolate)
• Sunflower seeds, nuts, or trail mix (no peanuts)
Food: The best things to send are things that are already prepared, things that will enhance the MREs they receive  or quick sources
of protein.
• Ramen Noodles or instant Mac & Cheese
• Flavoring packets for water
• Individual packets of condiments
• Tuna fish, sardines, beef jerky, or summer sausage
• Peanut butter
Toiletries: It may not seem that exciting to you, but the soldiers really appreciate receiving personal care items.
• Toothbrushes, toothpaste, or mouthwash
• Shaving lotion or disposable razors
• Shampoo
• Baby wipes or Q-tips
• Chapstick, Lotion, or Sunscreen
• Pain relievers
• Eye drops
• Foot powder
Other Items: Other items frequently requested are:
• Ankle socks, boot socks, and work gloves.
• AAA batteries
• Pre-loaded $25 Visa or Mastercard (troops pay for their own WiFi)
